It’s oven and broiler safe all the way up to 500 degrees F while its base (it's enameled, remember?) handles any heat source from gas to electric to induction.

Meet the Maker
Staub
France
It's hard to look at the French company's picturesque cast iron and ceramic wares and not daydream about the *magnifique* things you'll make in them. Staub specializes in enameled cast iron cookware made in Alsace, which makes for superior browning and heat retention (perfect for those hours-long braises). The pieces work hard, but they’re pretty enough to go straight from stovetop/oven to the table. They take on a variety of shapes and colors, but we're partial to the cocottes with a deep blue hue and brass knobs exclusive to our Shop.
