We can't believe it's not glass.
Psst...we've got just the cake stand for the 10-inch cloche you see here (and oh, is it a looker).

Revol Porcelain France
Saint-Uze, France
Revol's been around for a while -- we're talking since-1768-a-while. During a walk in the Drôme countryside, the Revol brothers, Joseph-Marie and François, noticed some unusual white streaks on the ground which they quickly identified as a kaolin (type of clay) deposit. They went ahead and established a factory in the area and since then have been producing and exporting their beautiful porcelain. Vive le Revol!

Perfect Cloche
Looks fantastic and is advertised appropriately. My only complaint: the inventory stickers are stuck on the cloche. To avoid scratching the new bell, I soaked the cloche for about 30 minutes with a dryer sheet "Bounce" in the water. I then wiped the sticker area with this and it came off without a hitch. Still, I would have preferred if the sticker wasn't placed on the cloche.
Beautiful product!
Love this item! Comes in a variety of sizes. I bought one to fit a variety of cake plates and it's exactly right. Much better than smooshing foil over leftover cake! Great quality too. Clear as glass but I won't have to worry about it shattering, which is exactly what happened to my last one. One complaint: please tell the manufacturer or whomever ships it: it is beyond ridiculous to be shipping this in styrofoam peanuts! There were enough peanuts in the box to fill a 13 gallon trash bag. Took me a while to fill the trash bag and pick them all up off the ground. PLEASE fix this issue!
I'm getting another one!
This is so sturdy and lightweight. Looks so nice on my cake stand. I don't have to worry someone is going to break it, as I did with my previous fragile glass cloche. It's not perfectly smooth, however, you can see small straight bumps radiating a couple inches beneath the top knob, probably where the plastic must have been joined. But that's ok with me, a small trade-off for the indestructibility of it. I like it so much, I'm getting another one in a larger size!
