I have a question about the recipe "Mushroom Bourguignon" from ieatthepeach. There are several ingredients labeled "finishing touches" but in the instructions only the lemon and the pasta are mentioned. Anyone have an idea what the butter and flour would be for?

The butter and flour are used to thicken the stew and are mentioned in step 6.
