for sourcing questions, i always suggest that someone log onto www.chowhound.com, find the area board for you, and ask that question. chowhound is a huge online community of foodies.

also ask the question on their General Topics board in case your local board doesn't answer

black garlic is not common. i have bought in CA. Website of Sanctuaire sells it too.
