Urgent! i want to make caramels but I'm out of granulated sugar. can I use powdered sugar instead?

Sadly, no! Powdered sugar doesn't react to heating in the same way as granulated.

No! Most powdered sugar has cornstarch to keep the sugar from clumping together. That cornstarch is going to burn and that's not a good thing.
