Cake crumbs

I have stale cake crumbs leftover from a rugelach recipe. Any other uses for stale cake crumbs? (Cake pudding?)

If you have enough, use them for a bread pudding, using the cake instead. I've used left over birthday cake this way very successfully.

I never have "cake crumbs" when I make rugulach. Curious what is your recipe?

I got my recipe from my friend's grandfather, who has been baking professionally since he immigrated to the U.S. after surviving the Holocaust!

Essentially, stale cake crumbs are sprinkled on and then pressed into the dough (along with the filling of jam or mini chocolate chips, sugar and cinnamon) before the dough is rolled up.

Just found a recipe for cake crumb biscotti (Nancy Silverton)!

Put in an air-tight container in the fridge and use like breadcrumbs to thicken sauces and soups.
Toss out after a month or so.
