A question about a recipe: Ginger Apple Torte

I have a question about step 7 on the recipe "Ginger Apple Torte" from drbabs. It says:

"Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top of the cake is golden brown and a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. The cake may slightly pull away from the sides of the pan. " can this cake be frozen

Yes! It should freeze well.

I've never frozen it. I think it should be fine, but the top will probably lose its crunchiness.
