Instead of frozen dinner rolls can I use regular rolls in a can

I was watching The Pioneer Woman and she was using frozen dinner rolls in a loaf pan for a recipe. A pull apart loaf type of thing. Can't I just use a can of rolls or biscuits like the Pillsbury pop open ones? I'm thinking I can? Thank you.

The frozen dough Pioneer Woman is using is a yeasted dough, where the biscuits and crescent rolls in a can are leavened with baking powder. The texture will not be quite the same, but if you adjust baking times and such, you could make a pull apart loaf with the canned versions. I think the company behind the little dough guy has recipes on their site to help guide you.

Yes, this should work. The Pillsbury pop open ones tend to have a "buttery" texture so in a loaf pan, you may get a little more fat/moisture on the bottom but I think you'll still get the pull-apart experience.
