Today: A noble steak dinner, even for those without a grill.
Summer rolls around and everyone is all like: GRILL GRILL GRILL!!!!!!!! Well guess what? Not everyone has a grill. Some people live in apartments. Others are scared of them. What, we can't have a steak? Here is a delicious option for you: Bloody Good Steak. This recipe makes use of balsamic vinegar, which does double duty as a marinade that softens the muscle fibers of the meat and adds tremendous flavor. The addition of smashed pepper gives it extra bite. Hit the cast iron baby. Go.
Serves 3 to 4
1 slab of flank steak
2 tablespoons black peppercorns
Extra-virgin olive oil
Real balsamic vinegar
