If you're reading this, you probably like to make things, whether that means cooking or baking or planting a garden; you probably have good taste (we won’t say you’re particular, but you might be); and you might like any of the following: cheese, beer, gin, cake, and/or Mexican food.
Do any of the above apply to you? Good. You're in the right place.

We’re here to tell you that you can make anything. You are powerful. You can brew your own beer! All you need are the right ingredients and equipment.
Lately, we’ve been testing out some excellent DIY kits and learning that we can do more than we think in the kitchen (see: making kimchi! and bitters!). The best part? DIY means you can tailor whatever you're making to your tastes. If you like goat cheese on the saltier side, add salt; if you wish store-bought tonic water were a bit sweeter, bottle your own and doctor it up.

Our favorite DIY kits? For now, the homemade gin kit, the tortilla kit, and the mustard kit. But there's no telling what we'll be making next week.
What DIY project are you most proud of? Tell us in the comments!
