Put a Filter on It: Brown Bag Lunches

September 12, 2014

It's no secret -- we love a good 'gram. Here, we'll be posting our favorite Instagrams from the food world, on a different theme each week.

Today, an incentive to pack a very special lunch.

Shop the Story

Unpacking a lunch sack is like opening gifts on Christmas morning. If you've been a good little boy or girl, your lunchbox will look something like this one packed by tracyshutterbean. But if you yelled and screamed and refused to do your chores, all you'll get is a box of desiccated raisins -- the lunchtime equivalent to a lump of coal.

You've been peeking into the lunches of Amanda's kids, and now it's our turn to look into the brown bag lunches you're making. Consider this a reason to plan an extra-special lunch (and yes, chips on sandwiches are encouraged).

We want your 'grams! Follow us, then tag your lunches with #f52grams -- we'll repost our favorites.

I used to work at Food52. I'm probably the person who picked all of the cookie dough out of the cookie dough ice cream.

What kind of lunchbox is this? I want it! Eliminates the need for plastic baggies

thats a pottery barn bento. there are tons of reusable lunch boxes out there. We opted for glass (thick) and stainless for our daughter. They're great and you can put them in the dishwasher!
