Our Memorial Day Playlist

Today: We rounded up some of our favorite songs to make the ultimate Memorial Day Grilling Playlist—at least according to us.

Memorial Day is tomorrow and we're all atwitter with the possibilities of a Monday spent away from our desks. We're ready to wear white pants, escape the city, and do what we do best on this holiday: Grill up a storm. But this year, instead of throwing on The Beach Boys' greatest hits as we tend to hot dogs, vegetables, and burgers, we're turning to our editorial team and COO for musical inspiration. As it turns out, we all jam out to very different tunes when flipping burgers: 

Our executive editor, Kristen, opted for the classics with some Otis Redding and Stevie Wonder, while Lindsay-Jean threw us a curve ball with some Notorious B.I.G. ("No, I don't play this music around my daughter!"). Our COO, Bridget was feeling the Ry Cooder while our Contributors Editor, Sarah, brought the country with some Tim McGraw (and then Jason Derulo). Our interns, Jaime and Riddley, added their passion for food into the mix with some Cake and Peanut Butter Jelly. Don't try to pick a favorite—put the whole playlist on shuffle and grill away.
