Editors' Picks — Lentils

January  6, 2011

Sri Lankan Masur Dal with Tamarind, Curry Leaves & Coconut Milk  The BLT Salad: Bacon, Lentil & Tomato

Any food52 member is welcome to help us test our Editors' Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to [email protected] by next Tuesday at 5pm.

We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Editors' Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as an Editors' Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as an Editors' Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

I'll try Masoor Dal and Carrot Soup with Cashew and Cilantro Pistou, although all these recipes sound wonderful. Can we choose more than one?
Food52 January 6, 2011
Sorry that recipe is already taken. We have one official tester per EP candidate but you can add your notes to the comments section of any recipe you're interested in. We usually hold off on having anyone test more than one recipe from the EP candidates to give as many community members as possible the chance to test. If there are still recipes up for dibs on Friday afternoon, then testers can call a second one. Right now there is one lentil recipe left, Indian-Spiced Lentils, if you'd like to try that.
vvvanessa January 6, 2011
