And so, the pancake pizza bagel (you can call it the P.P.B. for short) was invented.
It's simple, really:
Start with the pancake: Use your favorite batter and add Parmesan, chives, and black pepper. Make some pancakes, which leads us to...
The bagel: Cut a hole in the center of the pancake and mix together Ali's DIY everything bagel seasoning (sesame seeds, salt, fennel seeds, and red pepper flakes). Then:
Make it a pizza: Top the bagel-pancake with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and torn basil. Cover the pancake pizza bagel with foil and a lid and let the cheese melt. Then add the everything bagel spice. That's it!
You may not have known it was a triple whammy "national holiday" when you woke up today—but now you're probably really, really happy that you can eat this for dinner tonight (and breakfast tomorrow).
