Since the very start, we’ve called the umami recipe contest our most savory one yet. When we opened submissions, we asked you to bring that something-something flavor that we wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about. And boy, did you ever:
We received the most recipes of any contest so far this year. These featured everything from mushrooms and anchovies to miso and soy sauce—oh, and looooots of meat. In fact, two of our top five semifinalists were burgers, and went on to be our top two.
Congrats, mrslarkin! We’ll never make burgers or ketchup the same way again.
