I made these exactly as written and they were fantastic. Even my turkey burger adverse husband devoured them. I put them in the freezer for about 10 - 15 min prior to grilling which helps to keep the burgers intact.

Really tasty recipe. We added about a third of a cup of parmesan cheese to the burger mixture along with about a 1/4 cup of chopped parsley for some flavor and color. We skipped the anchovy paste only because I had none and the taste was wonderful even so. The achovy paste probably healthier than the cheese, I admit!

Thanks so much Sarah! Love your substitutions! I make these often and will try them with the Parm soon......

I tried this and the flavor was excellent. However they fell apart on a bun. I felt like I needed more to bind them. Maybe a little cornstarch?

Oh I'm sorry Joann. I know they're a little soft but that's never happened to me before. I'd try adding more panko....hope it works.

I made it again and added just a little more panko and a tsp of
cornstarch. Perfect! This really is the most flavorful turkey burger recipe I have found!
