For March, I made Guinness beef stew and Irish soda bread. Great results with both these 2 recipes. Also great was the chocolate Russian buttercream I made for a yellow cake (which used a TikTok hack).
Less successful, though not terrible: corned beef on the grill. It needed more cooking. Made Reuben sandwiches with homemade thousand island dressing. The corned beef may have been 'meh', but the sandwiches were stellar.

What recipes did I try this month? Apart from some of my own recipes on the site, I tried these new-to-me recipes (plus 13 from other sources):
Chocolate Truffle Cookies
https://food52.com/recipes/66052-chocolate-truffle-cookies
Even needing a few tweaks (I live in the high plains of Colorado, where baking is an adventure for several reasons), these were delicious. The flavor is excellent, the method quite simple.
Bulgarian Moussaka https://food52.com/recipes/82335-bulgarian-moussaka-recipe
I made this vegetarian, using lentils instead of beef, adding a pinch of smoked paprika and enough sherry vinegar to notice. Much lighter topped the Greek yogurt custard instead of potatoes. ;o)

There are people out there who have cannabis medical cards and could use a good recipe. I guess you don't understand. Premade cannabis edibles are very expensive and aren't always affordable. I thought this was great! Very simple and easy to follow.

exactly Organicmom. I lost one of my best friends to a horrible form of cancer and the pot cookies and brownies she was eating brought her much joy..it was the simple things. Pot is not a gateway drug and just became legal in NYS, its time to take the stigma out of pot.

Hi Susan! We have tons of recipes on Food52 and hope that everyone can come here and find a recipe they'll love. Including anyone who wants to learn more about homemade edibles! If weed brownies aren't up your alley, you can definitely make them with standard butter instead, or check out one of our many other brownie recipes here: https://food52.com/recipes/search?q=brownies&tag=test-kitchen-approved

As mentioned in the comments below, there are many people who require the medical benefits of cannabis and these brownies offer both delicious flavor and the positive effects of edibles, but at a much cheaper cost. I know several doctors that include oncologists and ophthalmologists who prescribe cannabis to their patients.

Then don’t follow. And don’t judge. I know people that have sustained great pain relief from cannabis use. Pain relief that no pharmacist has been able to provide. If you drink at all, use tobacco or prescription or over the counter pain meds, you are using drugs.

Goodness, Susan must have been on her fourth cup of coffee when she wrote that. She'll probably need at least three glasses of Chardonnay to get over that big ol' snit fit.
