We've partnered with LifeStraw to give your hydration situation a boost this summer. Here, Food52 Resident Hana Asbrink shares her go-to products, including the LifeStraw Home water filter pitcher‚ for staying refreshed. Bonus: These picks aren’t just functional—they’ll look great around the house, in the backyard, and on the go.

Summer has officially arrived, and you sure can tell—after the year we've all had, the nice weather is luring everyone out in droves. With more socializing, traveling, and moving around on the horizon, I'm keeping it as easy as possible to stay cool and hydrated during this warm-weather season.

If you're the type who needs that little nudge to get your daily water intake, let me be that push for you. While I don't measure the volume of water I drink every day, I am never without a full glass or travel bottle (I may or may not nag encourage my family members to do the same). I get it—water is just, well, water. Lucky for us, there's no shortage of functional, beautiful products and tasty tips to help make the necessary task a little more inspired.

Below are some of my favorites for staying cool and refreshed during the hotter months.

1. LifeStraw Home Glass Water Filter Pitcher, $54.95

I never knew a water filter pitcher could be this aesthetically pleasing (it's certainly a step up from the one I had in college!). Aside from the filtration qualities ensuring clean-tasting water from whatever tap I use, I love that the pitcher itself is made of glass and holds a large volume of liquid (up to 7 cups), minimizing the need for constant refills.

2. Hand-Blown Japanese Bedside Carafe & Tumbler Set, Starting at $40

Keep this gorgeous carafe and tumbler set on your nightstand, and you're guaranteed to start and end your days with a refreshing glass.

3. Flor Glasses, Set of 4, $48

These cheerful glasses already look like a party without anything in them. The hand-blown, handcrafted design means that no two are alike.

4. Everyday Ice Cube Trays with Lid, Starting at $38

An ice cube tray with a lid is a game-changer (no more freezer smells or frost damage). A bonus for those who need flavor in their water: You can drop in a variety of fruit and herbs to make fun flavor-infused cubes.

5. Vintage French Glass Ice Bucket, $80

After your perfectly squared cubes are ready, drop them in a vintage etched glass ice bucket for the most elegant presentation ever.

6. Tronco Glass Tumbler With Bamboo Lid, $17.99

It’s nice to have a dedicated tumbler that’ll accommodate enough water to power through a work-from-home session or quick jaunts in the car. This sleek bottle holds up to 24 ounces and is made of glass. Plus, it comes with a bamboo lid, straw, and silicone sleeve that will help ride through any accidental bumps.

7. Metallic Straw Wand Set, Starting at $25

These portable stainless straws are nice on the eyes, certainly, but I'm here for the teeny-tiny brush that ensures a clean sip each time. I also love that the stainless material helps you enjoy ice-cold water chilled all the way to the end.

8. LifeStraw Go Stainless Steel, $60

As a mom living in the city, I'm always toting around essentials for long days out and impromptu playdates. I like that this water bottle is a good portable size, with a wider mouth for both ice cubes and easier cleaning. The built-in filter feature also makes refilling water on-the-go a more convenient option.

9. Stainless Steel Ice Pack, Starting at $16

When it comes to water, the colder the better for me. Throw a couple of these never-melt ice packs into your picnic basket or lunch bag to ensure a refreshing sip when you need it.

In partnership with LifeStraw, we're kicking off summer with all the tips and tools you need to stay hydrated as the temperatures rise—like the LifeStraw Home water filter pitcher. It doesn't just help you cut single-use water bottles out of your routine: The pitcher removes more than 30 contaminants from water, including bacteria, parasites, microplastics, lead, mercury, and chemicals (think: PFAS, chlorine, and organic chemical matter). It also makes water taste better, so it's an eco-friendly way to make every day more fresh.
