There’s nothing sadder than a bare couch with zero throw blankets or pillows. It’s the equivalent of toast without butter. Or pasta without salt. Or—yea, you get it.

These little touches can make any couch infinitely more warm and inviting— not that we needed an excuse to lounge around for another two hours, but hey, it doesn’t hurt. And as the days get shorter and the temps get cooler, there’s nothing we like to do more than work on our couch dent with a cup of warm apple cider and a good podcast. The only thing that’d make it better? A chunky throw blanket.

Knowing you’d agree with us, we found 10 super cozy throw blankets that have us wishing we could fast-forward through fall and head right into winter.

7. Bearaby Tree Napper, $269

Weighted blankets are perfect throws for anyone who could use a hug (which is all of us). The extra weight allegedly helps create the feel-good hormones we need to nap faster, longer, and deeper. They’re also usually sized for one so they’re perfect for loveseats and couches alike.
