Moccamaster & KitchenAid Teamed Up for the Most Colorful Collaboration
Everything about this hue says spring.
Two of our favorite kitchen appliances—a KitchenAid stand mixer and a Moccamaster coffee maker—are now available in the exact same hue: Beetroot, a deep purple-red color that was named KitchenAid’s 2022 Color of the Year earlier this year. For the first time ever, the two brands have joined forces to release matching countertop appliances in the rich purple hue. Do I already own a Moccamaster? Yes. And do I use my KitchenAid stand mixer on a weekly basis? Yes. Will either of those facts stop me from adding this rich purple hue to my online shopping cart? No.
“Much like the hidden vibrance of Beetroot, Moccamaster coffee brewers transform something that seems ordinary into an unexpected and delightful experience,” said Kathleen Bauer, CEO of Moccamaster USA, in a press release. “KitchenAid and Moccamaster both carry an enduring legacy and a reputation of quality—and both create new possibilities of exploration and experimentation in the kitchen.”
If you’ve never used a Moccamaster before, your coffee beans (and I) are begging you to give it a try. This machine offers the speed and hands-off convenience of a traditional drip coffee maker with the quality of a pour-over or French press coffee method. It brews in just a few minutes, and the flavor that’s extracted using a Moccamaster versus other cheaper models of drip machines is like night and day. Plus, it brews very quietly. There’s no better time to buy a Moccamaster—or one of KitchenAid’s beloved appliances for that matter—than now.
If you want your appliances to match but are so sick of stainless steel or white kitchenware, it’s a colorful win-win. “Beetroot inspires new twists on the familiar,” said Carley Smith, senior marketing manager for KitchenAid, in a statement. “Staying true to the color’s inspiration, we introduced the first KitchenAid Color of the Year partnership with the iconic Moccamaster brand. As brands, we share the same values of form, function, and the power of color to inspire makers in the kitchen and beyond.”
While you can currently purchase a KitchenAid 5-Quart Stand Mixer and KitchenAid K400 Blender in Beetroot, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for the world’s coolest coffee maker; Moccamaster announced that the KBGV Select model will be launched in Beetroot later this spring, exclusively through moccamaster.com and Crate and Barrel (FWIW, you can, and should, pre-order it now).
