The Magic of Miami's Modern Daiquiri
Invented over a century ago in the tiny village of Daiquirí, Cuba, this tropical cocktail has been modernized in Miami.

It would be great if this article actually included the recipe or at least clearly and prominently linked to it.

Cranky/snarky non-stop? When did Food52 comments become yet another outlet for that?
From the article: daiquiris are prepared the same way as the Cuban original—in a shaker with granulated sugar (not simple syrup), fresh lime juice, and BACARDÍ white rum. “
From the link: simple syrup.
And the article is PACKED with links to commercial sites. Waste of time sorting through the links for people who want bars in Miami.

Snarky much? Guess I need to unsubscribe from food52 bc I’m too stupid to know what to do on this website.

In fairness, as the person who forest asked for the recipe, there are a dozen (more?) hyperlinks in this article, many appearing to link to bars or locations and rums, but not all to the cocktail in question or even a variation on it. Moreover, the post talked about THE classic, so my hope is that it would have said - in neon lights — THIS, this is THE ONE. Others are for fun or to test the theory. Seriously, we aren’t all idiots, Mmcook.

I didn’t see a recipe either. If you want a really delicious strawberry daiquiri (and you don’t have to drive until the next day!), put in a blender one can of frozen limeade concentrate, then one can of good rum, a bunch of frozen strawberries and some ice cubes, blend well.
A friend of mine gave me this recipe more than 40 years ago. I very rarely make daiquiris but when I do, everyone loves this recipe.

Among frozen daiquiri variants, we like mango daks. But I want to see a feature on that favorite drink of lazy south Floridians, especially those old enough to be pre-Castro: the rum and Coke/coke. Many variations possible here: the proportions of rum and coke, the kind of rum, the brand of coke -- and whether you add lime, lemon or nothing. My Uncle Bob liked to make his RCs kind of like martinis, with a lot of rum and a little coke (not me!). And he liked lime zest. An affectation, I thought, but I had to cut him slack, he being a WWII guy.
