Both those tacos and the S'mores were ridiculous.

I couldn't agree with you more! The s'mores were another example of the what - Arrogance? Stupidity? of the hosts and producers I suppose in turning a campfire rustic fun concoction into some gussied up version of a haute cuisine dessert! The sight of Paul Hollywood and Prue Leithe pontificating on the consistency of marshmallow - homemade no less! - that was grotesquely out of proportion to the chocolate and the graham cracker was like watching a parody of a cooking show, which I guess is what it has really turned into with some of these inane "bakes". Between Noel and Matt and Paul and Prue I sometimes feel like I'm watching the Monty Python version of British baking!

If you want to watch a baking show that is more respectful, watch the Great Canadian Baking Show. Source, Rosemary from season six.
