Kickstarter Love: Lottie's Creamery

Each week in Kickstarter Love, Feed52 will feature a Kickstarter project that focuses on food and the community. Basically, it’s about cool people doing cool things with food. This week: a to-be-opened “microcreamery.”

Lottie's Creamery

We all know how delicious homemade ice cream can taste (thanks, Jeni!), but Deb Phillips is taking it to another level. In her to-be-opened ice cream parlor, Lottie’s Creamery, she’s planning on making everything from scratch, down to the marshmallows in each scoop of Rocky Road.

Not only that, but she’ll be pasteurizing her ice cream base in-house. Most creameries receive shipments of unflavored base and mix in their preferred ingredients, but Deb wanted to control the entire process to ensure the smoothest texture and richest flavor.

With that attention to detail, we’re definitely intrigued. Find out how you can help make Lottie’s a reality on Deb’s Kickstarter page.

Dinner is ready 45 minutes after I say it will be. When in doubt, lemon juice. And always keep prosecco in the house.
