Cook Spotlight: inpatskitchen

August 31, 2012

She’s been in the winner’s circle before, but for today, we’re switching the focus to her recipes -- her collection may be highly lauded, but it’s also balanced, simple, always with an elegant twist. As far as FOOD52ers go, inpatskitchen is a member of prolific proportions. With 220 recipes added so far, she takes her kitchen seriously, and we’re glad she does.

Her seemingly endless capacity for cooking and creating delicious recipes is a trait that she inherited, according to her, from her mother. After years of watching her cook for 30 to 40 people on the holidays, inpatskitchen has followed in her mother’s footsteps, creating recipes that we’d want to serve to a crowd, too. She’s a master of soups and stews, floats and punches, and our favorite quality (and very important attribute): she knows when to add a little bacon.

I have a thing for most foods topped with a fried egg, a strange disdain for overly soupy tomato sauce, and I can never make it home without ripping off the end of a newly-bought baguette. I like spoons very much.
