Our Latest Contest: Your Most Impressive Dinner Party Side

Our latest contest is all about what you can do with a cooktop, so we're partnering with Electrolux. Show us your best dishes, and there could be a new cooktop in the cards for you.  

Finding a perfect dinner party side isn't easy. You need something that whips up quickly but is still impressive, something that will keep guests talking. So we're teaming up with Electrolux to bring your best cooktop sides out of hiding for the entertaining season ahead. Need more incentive? The winner gets to choose between either a brand new Electrolux Induction Cooktop OR Induction Range, plus a Food52 cookbook. Top dishes will be eligible to star in a live-stream cook-off hosted on Food52 this November by Amanda and Merrill and Electrolux. (Stay tuned for details!)

I added 2 recipes for the contest and put them under the " active" contest choice. They went in as regular submissions instead of contest entries. I wrote another email right after it happened...can these be moved to the contest section?

When you say "your best cooktop sides" in the fine print, are you looking for those that are cooked entirely cooktop -- or does the theme extend to sides that use the cooktop but involve the oven or other cooking methods. Thanks for clarifying!

We're looking for side dishes where the majority of the cooking time is on a cooktop, yes! But if you have a great side that just finishes in the oven, or an amazing onion jam that needs to be put on toasted bread, for instance, please don't hold back.
