Does someone have an idea how much 31/2 cups of coconut would weigh?

I bought a 7 oz package at Whole Foods and it was exactly the amount that recipe called for.

I weighed out some leftover coconut flakes. Each 1/2 cup weighs 1 oz. (30 g). Therefore, 3 1/2 cups would way approximately 7 oz. (210 g).

3.5 cups dried flaked or coconut chips chips weigh 5.25 oz. and 3 cups sweetened, shredded coconut weighs 9 oz.

i didn't weigh, but I bought a bag of Bob's Red Mill Flaked coconut and measured. The package has 12 ounces and I still have 5 ounces of that left. so i used 7 ounces. and they turned out great.
