Trader Joe tapenade: don't see a pull date; don't see mold; doesn't smell bad. Still good till I see mold?

I recommend taking the product back and asking a crew member to find out the sell by or use by date.

I doubt tapenade would give you food poisoning. If it doesn't smell bad or have mold, I would eat it. Olives last a really long time in the fridge and tapenade is mostly olives and olive oil.

Which is more important to you: tossing out a couple dollars of some leftover tapanade that might be questionable; or, spending a couple hours in the bathroom.

Olives are preserved to last a long time. Tapenade, if made correctly, will also last a long time. There are some variables like what kind of olives, when made into tapenade etc.

If you have a concern about what you purchased from Trader Joes I recommend you got to Trader Joe's, take in the product and ask the question. They are the ones to answer your question.
