How do you make eggless ice cream cones?

Assuming it doesn't have to be vegan, just eggless, pastry chef Gale Gand has a cone batter recipe on the Food Network website (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/gale-gand/waffle-cones-recipe/index.html) and one blogger made that recipe on a panini press (http://paninihappy.com/make-your-own-ice-cream-cones-on-a-panini-press/), so no waffle cone press required!
