When substituting fresh vanilla bean seeds for vanilla extract, how much should you use?

It's going to depend on what you are making. If you are doing something where you can scrape the seeds from the pod and steep the pod I'd do 1 vanilla bean per 2 tsp. extract. If you are only able to incorporate the seeds I'd do 1 vanilla bean per tsp. extract.
A lot of times there's a little equation on the label.
