First and foremost: be organized. Have your recipes selected, equipment readied, grocery list prepared. Shop and prep as much in advance as possible.
Do not feel you have to make everything yourself from scratch! There's nothing wrong with purchasing and serving high quality prepared foods, especially desserts.
