One of my dear friends, a talented homecook, bakes her cookies, drains/degreases them on paper shopping bags, then freezes them after they have cooled, in freezer bags. Whenever she feels like having a cookie, she takes it out of the freezer, warms a few minutes in the toaster oven. Tastes like fresh baked each time.
Amen to Brette. And they must be completely cooled - not even a teensy bit warm. Separate the rows with waxed paper to ensure they don't stick to the ones above and below.
