I'm not sure what you mean. But steak only needs Kosher Salt.
For that bring the steak to room temp and salt the steak with kosher salt on both side.
leave it out for at least 45mins.
In the first mins the salt draws out moisture---if you cook it then the steak will be dry.
After 45 mins the moisture (now seasoned with the salt) will retreat into the steak...along with the salt.
Pat off any residual moisture and grill or broil the steak.
