On toothpicks, skewer 1 cherry tomato, 1 slice of prosciutto (rolled up) & one piece of bocconcini cheese. These always go down like a treat!

this is pretty extensive list of choices, i would also add to it ceviche and salmon or tuna tartare, bean crostini

My go-to party appetizer is often a good, well-rounded cheese plate. Meat on skewers (think beef satay) is also really nice. I love amysarah's ideas, too. Oysters? Count me in!

Any variation of beet and nut puree, used as a dip or spread (could serve with cucumber spears, or thin crisps or crackers: http://www.spainontheroadagain.com/recipe_beetwalnut.shtml

Smoked salmon or trout, served on cucumber slices (barely any carbs), with a dab of creme fraiche and sprinkling of chives or dill. A raw bar - oysters, cherrystones, some steamed shrimp - with a light mignonette sauce and/or homemade cocktail sauce, and lemon wedges.

Piquillo Peppers Stuffed with Herbed Cream Cheese or Goat Cheese. Another tasty sucker is Buffalo Chicken dip (Shredded real chicken, of course) served with crudités.

This recipe for an Asian-flavored Kale with Sesame Sauce would be very pretty served in small cups as shown in the recipe photo or short glasses. The soy and brown sugar add carbs but the amounts are so small per 1/2 bunch kale, maybe it is still acceptable for your purposes.

Crostini with Tuna Tapenade (small slices of baguette have modest carbs)

A board sauce is very cool, easy and the presentation is great. I buy a few cheeper cuts of steak, go med-rare, slice thin and serve on a large wood cutting board with toothpicks. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Board-Dressing-51103410

I would take some meat. Marinate then grill. Cut into bite-size chunks and pass around with toothpicks.
