My go-to party appetizer is often a good, well-rounded cheese plate. Meat on skewers (think beef satay) is also really nice. I love amysarah's ideas, too. Oysters? Count me in!

This recipe for an Asian-flavored Kale with Sesame Sauce would be very pretty served in small cups as shown in the recipe photo or short glasses. The soy and brown sugar add carbs but the amounts are so small per 1/2 bunch kale, maybe it is still acceptable for your purposes.
