My husband brought home a homemade sour cream dill sauce from Finland. It wasn't entirely smooth as it had perhaps a puréed vegetable in it. Any ideas

Hmmm..hard to say. Maybe it had cottage cheese mixed in? It's a popular ingredient in the Nordic countries. Horseradish or cucumber would be possible as well.

I think you're right! I'll try cottage cheese. There's not a cucumber taste to it. Thank you.

Was it pure white ? It's possible that it was made with a mixture of sour cream and curd cheese.

Cucumbers, perhaps. Maybe a bit of onion, garlic, and horseradish.
