Is there anything you can do or add to half and half which would allow you to whip it?

Just in case you run into the same situation in the future, try adding powdered gelatin, egg white powder, or actual egg whites (pasteurized).

What is your aim? To use up some half and half? Make lower cal whipped cream? Other?

Needed whipped cream but only had half and half on-hand. Finally sucked it up and drove to the store.
