brownies are underbaked, can i return it to the oven?

baked last nite. cut and ate two pieces but it is too too gooey. can i return it to oven to bake 5 or 10 minutes more. could put it in a cold oven and turn the temp to 350o to firm them a bit?

Yep. I've had to do that. They may be done before the oven reaches temp, so keep an eye on them, but I like your method.
