can you use frozen strawberries in my mother's strawberry jam recipe

I can't find the recipe, but can't imagine a jam recipe that wouldn't work with frozen (other than lekhvar, which is made with dried fruit, I guess). Your chances of getting ripe fruit are probably better than with fresh berries.
