Homemade yogurt fizzing

I've made dairy-free yogurt twice now, once using coconut milk yogurt and once using almond milk yogurt (both store bought) for starters. Both times, my yogurt turned out fizzy/carbonated. What am I doing wrong?! I'm using a yogurt maker and follow all instructions. I don't get it.

Hi Niki, I'm sorry you haven't received an answer to this yet. You might try adding your question in the comments of this related post: https://food52.com/blog... -- there are a lot of yogurt-makers who have commented and might be able to help solve the fizzing issue.
