Hi Joyce! I find sambal in the Asian section of most grocery stores...it's become quite popular.

It's an Indonesian chili paste. You can find it some ethnic markets or at Amazon.com of course.

You can also make your own. Here is one recipe from Serious Eats:

There are other recipes online, a judicious online search with Google, Bing, Yahoo will help you find them.
