Can I make two-ingredient biscuit dough (cream and self-rising flour) a day ahead?

I’d like to mix and cut the dough tonight, but I’ve never premade the dough - I always bake it immediately. Will it keep covered/uncovered/refrigerated/room temp?

You can definitely freeze them. And they can go right from the freezer to the oven in the morning.
