I made this dough last Sunday and thought I'd roll it out the same day. Never happened. I left it in the refrigerator for two days, then I thought, put it in the freezer, you won't get to it during the week. I did that. Pulled it back out Friday night and finally baked them Sat morning. They came out beautifully.
I haven't tried it with this dough but the general rule for any dough with eggs is 3 - 4 days. I make virtually all of of my holiday cookies ahead of time and it works great. In fact, it improves the flavor. Doughs without egg hold for a much longer period. ;o)
