June, yes liquid measure (e.g., water) would give 4 lb for 2 quarts.
But raw grapes weigh less than water.
In fact, by cup volume one chart i looked at show grapes at 151g/cup (1/3 lb).
So 2 quarts (8c) would need about 2 2/3 lb by weight.
PS checked grapes weight in two other sources got 92 or 100g/cup. That would require - for 8 cups - about 1 2/3 or 1 3/4 lb.
With the earlier source requiring 2 2/3 lb, the range is 1 2/3 to 2 2/3 lb.
