should a lot of steam be coming out of oven while roasting turkey?

Sometimes when I have my convection function turned on, the oven steams more (or if the oven is burdened with more items than usual), but that is normal for my oven. Hopefully the steam dissipates soon with your lowering the temp. Good luck, Donna!

Hi Donna - Steam is not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to a moist turkey, but I'm wondering if you placed a rack under your bird? If not, the liquid/juices that come out during the cooking process may cause more steaming than roasting. Hope this helps and happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Hana, thanks for replying! I do have a rack underneath. It's a constant stream out of the oven vent so I was worried, because I've read you can steam-burn a turkey that way. I turned the oven temp lower just in case. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
