Instant Pot - sizing up and down

Hello Friends! We use our Instant Pot often and it works well with our meal planning. Does anyone have suggestions for sizing up or down? I have a 6 quart Instant Pot and most recipes are for 4-6 people. If I cut the recipe in half for just my spouse and I, are the cooking times the same? Or should I get a smaller Instant Pot? Would the cooking times be the same then? Likewise, if we are having people over for dinner, can I double the recipe in my 6 qt Instant Pot and use the same cooking times? Or do I need a second Instant Pot to be safe?

I have a both a 3 and 6 quart IP. I use them both depending what I'm cooking. The cook times are the same. When you cut a recipe in half, watch that you have enough liquid for pressure building.

I only cook for two but I like to have next overs for a day or two in the future (or freeze for longer storage).
