Dried beans in instant pot

Have a 6qt instant pot. Can I cook just a cup of dried beans instead of the usual 2 cups?

Thanks, Lori, I am still intimidated by my new Instant Pot! But I plan to cook a lot of beans. I also ordered an Instant Pot recipe book from my library which should help.

Yes, you can. The timing will be the same as for the 2 cups as well. It might take the pot a little longer to come to pressure, because there will be that extra bit of space, but not much. Or you could consider doing the 2 cups, and freezing the extra for another meal time.
