Actual cooking time is the time it takes for Instant Pot to come up to pressure + 6 minutes pressure cooking time + pressure release time. I think mine (8qt) takes 10-20 minutes to come up to pressure, and I let it sit 10 minutes before manually releasing pressure, so 26-36 minutes? Personally, I wouldn't let it sit in the pot for hours.
