Can I make this dough a day in advance of baking?

I know cookie doughs can generally benefit from a day in the fridge but not sure if that applies here as well.

I've always gone straight to the oven! Not saying a little time in the fridge couldn't benefit the dough, but I've never found that step necessary. : )

This is more cake than cookie; I'd go straight to the oven.
