Okay to add mayo to hot cabbage

Is it okay to add hot cabbage to mayo. Actually I like to make my own and it doesn’t use pasteurized eggs. What do you recommend??

Hi Mary,
You should be fine using your homemade mayo. In the recipe, you're adding cold / room temp mayo to the cabbage, then grilling it. Or were you wondering about adding more mayo after the cabbage comes off of the grill?
