Probably should cook without polish on your nails or wear gloves.
Several articles tell us nail polish is harmful if ingested and it sometimes flakes off into the food you are making.
Side note - a friend who worked her way through college at Starbucks tells me they were not allowed to wear nail polish, partly or mostly for these reasons.
