The ingredients list calls for vanilla but I didn’t see it in the directions. When do you use the vanilla? Is the ingredients list incorrect or the directions?  Thank you

I would say you add the flour and salt and then let it cool, then stir in the vanilla.  Then proceed with the recipe.

I'd add the vanilla with the second egg.
